Huge congratulations to the impressive Arty Jackson, whose song ‘After It Falls’ had the audience spellbound. Arty was pushed hard by Spence Cater in second place, but he held on to claim the coveted trophy amid scenes of confetti splendidness.
We’d like to thank everyone who performed on the night. We were genuinely blown away by the quality of all the acts and without their participation, and willingness to take part, we wouldn’t have had a competition to host.
A massive thank you also to Rodda and Ruan at the Crown & Sceptre for providing us with a space, equipment, extra publicity and a wonderfully atmospheric environment. The Crown & Sceptre is a local treasure, a community hub, and we feel privileged to have been able to host our contest there.
A big thanks to Robin Layfield, who compered the event with such enthusiasm. Robin is a real music lover, and it showed. Bless you, Rob! Top man! And thanks also to Chris West, who worked behind the scenes to help create the suitably eccentric audience voter contraption, as well as capturing the night on video. We will get highlights up on this website soon.
Last but emphatically not least, big thanks to everyone who turned up on the night to cheer on the acts and vote. The atmosphere was amazing and so are you.
See you all next year, if not before!
