To those songs with fewer votes, please remember that everything can change once the scores are converted to ranks and the judges’ votes are added. You can vote here until 26th August, when the scores will be combined 50/50 with the judges’ scores to decide which 14 acts will reach the grand final and perform at the Crown & Sceptre on 3rd September.
The finalists will be competing to win the coveted Stroud Song Contest winner’s trophy and junior trophy as well as some fantastic prizes donated by lovely local companies – more about those soon.
We hope that you’re all enjoying the voting stage of the contest. It’s exciting watching the votes come in, and it’s always a thrill for us to see so many people engaging with the competition.
We are also monitoring signs of potential abuses of the voting system and adjusting scores where necessary, removing those votes. Although we fully encourage every act to rally as many people as they can to vote for their song, we want to ensure fair play. The contest is just for fun but we feel it’s still important to keep it fair.
